My name is Mrs. Capson. I have been teaching at Coopersville High School since 2011. I graduated high school from Forest Hills Northern. I went on to get my Bachelor's in Special Education - Learning Disabilities at Hope College. While working at Coopersville, I went back to school to get my Master's Degree from Michigan State University in Educational Technology. My entire Master's program was through online learning and courses. I understand what it is like to take courses online, and I have a passion for online learning. I am excited to help students expand their learning experience through online classes. I love teaching high school and helping students find their passions as they become adults and go off to college, work full time or join the military.
When I am not teaching, I love to spend time with my friends and family. I married my husband in 2017. We had our first son, Elijah, in June 2019. We also have an adorable husky named Apollo who loves to go on walks, play at the beach, and snuggle on the couch. I spend the majority of my extra time playing with Elijah! During the summer we take our trailer around Michigan and enjoy camping and relaxing. I love to read, exercise and explore new places. One thing I have recently started to enjoy is photography. I love to take pictures of my friends and family and the many adventures we go on throughout the year.
